After visiting Friedrichshafen, we continued to Freiburg, Tel Aviv’s sister city. We were warmly hosted by Freiburg City Hall and enjoyed exploring the city’s diverse districts and the nearby Black Forest. We also visited the local amateur radio club, led by Stephan Lauffer. The members at the club station gave us an exceptionally warm welcome. They invited us to make QSOs from their station, assemble and solder PCBs in their workshop, and share dinner while exchanging experiences about amateur radio in Germany and Israel. To conclude our visit, Freiburg City Hall and the radio club arranged sightseeing flights over the city with the local aero club. It was an unforgettable experience. This trip was a wonderful way to discover Germany, and we are deeply grateful to the Municipality of Freiburg and the amateur radio club for their generosity and hospitality.

Earlier this month, we visited the annual amateur radio exhibition in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Eighteen of our students, accompanied by four chaperones, took part in the event. We had a wonderful time exploring the many booths representing amateur radio societies, countries, and companies from around the world. The students attended fascinating lectures, gained hands-on experience in PCB design and soldering, and discovered real treasures at the flea market. We were even interviewed by local television. We had originally planned to attend the exhibition the previous year, but the trip was cancelled at the last moment because of the war. We are deeply grateful that this visit was finally possible, and we are already looking forward to next year’s exhibition.

A few days ago, we held a special ceremony for our two new antenna towers. The towers were named after two of our former students: Yoav Tamir and Hadar Shavit. Yoav and Hadar met at the club station and died in a helicopter accident together. We invited all of our students, their families, and the entire school faculty to attend the event, which was a great success!

On June 18, 2026, 16 of our students took their final Ministry of Communications exams and received their second- and first-degree licenses. Thanks to our wonderful friendship with the ministry's representatives, the exams were held at our school, and we got the results the same day! Our students were very happy when they heard that everyone had passed the exams and that they could now pick their own callsigns.

On May 14, 2026, our club went to the annual IARC meeting. We helped IARC organize the event and met a lot of Israeli radio amateurs. Overall, we had a great time and even met other teenage amateurs who came to our club a few days later. Thanks, IARC, for that wonderful experience!
